DRFI's 2nd International Conference: Mediating Movement: Communication and Dance is being hosted by the ITTralee, Co. Kerry, Thursday 26th to Sunday 29th June, 2008.

The conference explores the diverse concepts and methods through which we perform, research, communicate and contextualise dance. What are the challenges and rewards of embracing 21st century culture and how do we share our experience, knowledge and histories of dance? How and what does dance communicate? What are the evolving methodologies for looking at communication and dance? What is the performer-audience relationship? What is the teacher-student relationship? How are aesthetics in dance or other cultural movement systems communicated?
